Share a room and save money:
We try to make our Camps as affordable as possible while provide single occupancy lodging. But if you would like to save a little money, you can share a room with another rider if double occupancy rooms are available.
Also, we welcome your non-riding spouse/partner at no additional cost. Just book and pay for the single occupancy rate. There's plenty to do and see in the area for non-riders.
Payment:
When we reply to confirm your booking, we will email registration confirmation and payment request. Complete payment is due withing 5 days of reserving your space. We will send a payment request via Paypal. You can use a Visa/MC and you do not need a Paypal account.
What’s included:
Lodging is included in the Camp price as well a ride support vehicle with food, drinks, snacks, some cycling specific tools and spares for mechanical assistance and basic first aid supplies.
What's not included:
You are responsible for getting yourself to and from the camp and all meals other than what we provide during the ride.
If you are flying in, we will provide a list of participants for those interested in carpooling from the airport.
If your cycling equiptment needs specialty tools please bring them.
Camp Location:
Los Alamos, California.
We’ve scouted the best, ride-friendly, low traffic roads in the heart of the Santa Ynez Valley. We go out of our way to stay off the busy highways and roads. The riding is nothing short of stunning around here. It’s a great way to propel your year, get inspired, see old friends and make some new ones.
Lodging: The Skyview Motel
The affordable, casual and comfortable Skyview Motel serves us well as home base. The friendly Skyview staff appreciate cyclists. Plenty of clean rags and a bike washing station are provided.
The Skyview will receive your bike shipped Fedex if you would prefer not to pay the airlines.
We have secured an exceptional room rate for our camp allowing us to provide the most affordable cycling camp possible.
David Stevens and Karin Schneider are the new managers and will be caring for us during our stay.
Travel:
Once we have confirmed your space you can make your travel arrangments to get to Los Alamos.
Driving to Los Alamos form Northern or Southern California is straight forward. Los Alamos is on Hwy 101 about 50 miles north of Santa Barbara or 50 miles south of San Luis Opispo
If you are flying in, the closest airport served by many airlines is Santa Barbara (SBA). Los Alamos is about an hour north of the Santa Barbara airport on Highway 101.
United Airlines serves the Santa Maria airport (SMX). Los Alamos is about 20 minutes South of the Santa Maria airport.
You might like to coordinate with fellow campers to share a rental car. We will provide contact information for those interested in carpooling.
Cancellation Policy:
Payment is due within 5 days of booking confirmation to confirm your space. If you need to cancel prior to 25 days before the camp starts, a full refund is available. After that, we will refund your payment if we can replace your spot with another paying rider.
